French politician. He was member of the Legislative Assembly and figured in the constitutional party. It provided aid to the Royal family on June 20, 1792. He returned to private life after the closure of that Assembly. He suffered some persecution as adept to the monarchy and having entered in 1895 in the Council of elders, was understood in the case of the 18 fructidor and deported to Cayenne. He received his freedom in 1799 and since then did not return to politics, devoting to philanthropic institutions. He was one of the founders of the French Protestant Bible Society and left some works of hacienda.
