Spanish writer. He was born around 1580 and died to 1630. He was Professor of English and author of the familiar dialogues, in which are contained the speeches, modes of speaking... for those who want to learn the Spanish language (1619), written in bilingual version in Spanish and French. Another of his works is the titled Ars brevis and compendia to learn how to read, write, to pronounce and speak the Spanish language (1623). Menéndez y Pelayo identified it with H. of moon that wrote the second part of the Lazarillo de Tormes (1620), a work which was much more anticlerical as the original but with the same witty, concise and lively style as its model.
