Dancer, teacher of ballet and American artistic director, born on March 12, 1943 in Berkeley (California).
He studied at the San Francisco Ballet School and made his debut in the company associated with the school in 1959. In 1965, it reached the category of soloist at the American Ballet Theatre and promoted to principal dancer in 1972. With this company, he premiered the ballets At Midnight (1967) by Eliot Feld and Dennis NahathBrahms Quintet (1969), among others. In 1978 he was appointed master of ballet for the company, since it has combined with the director of the Fundación Agnes de Mille Dance Theatre. In September 1997, was made the Manager of the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, replacing Patricia Wilde.
