Biography of Abd-El-Aziz (¿-717)

Second Arab viceroy of Spain, died in the year 717. He/She supported his father Muza, Lieutenant of the Caliph Walid I, in the conquest of Spain, and seized in 713 of the provinces of Jaén, Murcia and Granada. He/She defeated Teodomiro, Prince Goth, in the plains of Cartagena, and took Zaragoza, which finished in part the conquest of the Iberian Peninsula. He/She married Egilona, widow of Rodrigo, late Gothic King. It was proclaimed King and was murdered.
