Biography of King of Shashhimi Abdi-Milki (ca. 1365 a.C.)

(Ab-di-mil-ki) King of Shashhimi (city to be located in the southern part of Damascus [Syria]) under the authority of Egypt during the Amarna. Of such character, the "Shashhimi man", is possessed a letter in which puts at the disposal of the Pharaoh his troops and his chariots. The text is also very similar to the other cards of coeval, dependent Princes of Egypt (Kanu, Dubu, Naziba). The context of the letter of Abdi-Milki must relate to the confrontation between Birijawaza of Damascus and Aitakkama of Kadesh.
