Biography of Abdías (s. VII a.C.)

The fourth of the twelve minor prophets who lived during the reign of Hezekiah, six hundred and twenty-six years before Christ. Does not exist in more than one chapter, in which predicts the ruin of the idumeos who had to wage war to the Israelites. According to some, he was a contemporary of Amos, Hosea and Isaiah, and according to others, wrote after the destruction of Jerusalem by the Chaldeans.

His book, which is the smallest of the books of the old testament, has only 21 verses.
