Biography of Kjeld Abell (1901-1961)

Danish playwright born in Ribe (Jutland) August 25, 1901 and died in Copenhagen on March 5, 1961. Director and set designer, he/she carried out an avant-garde theatre that satirizes the bourgeois society. His works include: the lost melody (1935), Anna Sophie Hedvig (1939), where expressed its liberal character and lambasted the Nazism and days upon a cloud (1947), which reflects the crisis of man, in the scientific era, after the bombing of Hiroshima. In 1961 he/she published the cry, fantastic comedy in which men and birds mingle.
