Biography of King of Edesa Abgaro V (ca. 33 d.C.)

Arab King of Edessa (Syria), called the black. A legend of the third century of our era and some inscriptions of the V and VI centuries refer to a letter - which we know by Eusebius and by the doctrine of Addai - work which sent Jesucristo asking for healing and offering him refuge in his town to avoid the snares of the Jews. Later Abgar V would be named Tadeo and sent to Edessa by the apostle Thomas.
