Biography of Manuel Abril (1884-1943)

Journalist, critic, poet and playwright, born in Madrid. He/She is the author of two books of poems: songs of the heart and of life (1906) and towards a distant light (1914); several comedies, such as a rare case of veras (1916) or the Princess who sucked the finger (1917); a satirical novel, Salvation (society of insurance of the soul) (1931), in which lashes out against the bourgeoisie; In addition, he/she is author of children's works, critical literary and art and numerous articles of various kinds in Madrid journal, light, cross and stripe or Revista de Occidente.
