Biography of Federico Carlos Achard (1753-1821)

Naturist and German chemist, born in Berlin in 1753 and died in 1821. He was director of the kind of Physics in the Academy of Sciences of Berlin. He popularised the discovery of sugar and beet, and obtained a grant of land in Silesia of the King of Prussia to establish a factory.
