Biography of Godofredo Achenwall (1719-1772)

German Economist, born in 1719 in Prussia and died in 1772; He/She is the inventor of the science called statistics. He/She was Chair of history in Marburg, in 1746, and later of statistics in Göttingen, at whose University remained until his death. He/She is the author of several works on the history of the States of Europe, about constitutional law and political economy. The main ones are: elements of statistics of the major States of Europe; Concise history of the main current States of Europe; Principle of political economy.
