Biography of Fray Miguel de Agia (s. XVI)

Spanish religious, born in Valencia, took the habit of the order of San Francisco; in 1563 he/she went to America, where he/she composed several works of morality, theology, and Canon law. He/She published only two: of ausiliis, sive exhibedis le invocatione utriusque Brachii; Madrid, 1600, and personal vice of the Indians; Lima, 1604, fol. As in this work it was not favorable to the freedom of the Indians, it was challenged by the Jesuit neck.
