Biography of Menenio Agripa (s. VI a.C.)

Roman Consul in 503 BC, born at uncertain date; it beat the Samnites and Sabines, and first received the honours of the triumph. Sent by the Senate to Parley with the people, who had retired to the Sacro Monte, he/she managed to convince you with that famous apolog of members and the stomach. Then, for greater guarantee, requested the establishment of the tribunes of the people. He/She was so unselfish, that despite various public posts, did not not needed for his funeral, which were made at the expense of the public Treasury, so the town decided to give a sum of money to his children in gratitude to his memory.
