From 12th century German poet probably in the South of Austria. Under your name we have received the texts of 16 isolated, without music, but probably written to be sung verses. Form and content are framed between the early love poetry of Der Kürenberger, Heinrich von Morungen, Reinmar der Alte, but already show a Romanesque influence. Compositions are developed in the form of dialogue, i.e., alternating speeches in the form of monologue of the Knight and the Lady. The preferred themes are love, separation, the longing and society which prevents the happy realization of love. In Dietmar appears for the first time the reflection of nature, as well as the separation at the dawn of a couple in love.
