Biography of Bek-Mohamed Alahamar (s. XIII)

First Arab King of Granada, head of the dynasty of the Alahmares and nephew of Yahya-Ben-El-Narr, pretender to the throne of the Almohads. It was proclaimed in Granada in 1238, taking dictation from emir of Muslims, who then changed by the sultan and the high Commander of the faithful at the beginning. His successors ruled until 1492, year in which they were dispossessed by Fernando and Isabel. Alahmar had built the Palace of the Alhambra.
