Biography of Luis María José Alard (1779-1850)

French physician, who was born in Tolosa in 1779 and died in Paris in 1850. He/She served in the army of the Rhine, he/she was doctor of the House of the Légion d'honneur of Saint-Denis, and one of the older members of the Academy of medicine. His most notable publications are: essay on catarrh in the ear, history of elephantiasis of the Arabs, the seat and the nature of diseases and inflammation of the absorbent vessels.
