Biography of El Bienaventurado Alberto (1150-1214)

Patriarch of Jerusalem Italian, and legislator of the order of the Carmelites, who was born in 1150 near Parma, and died in 1214. He/She was Bishop of Vercelli and Bobio, Federico Barbaroja and Clemente III chose him to work out their differences, Emperor Enrique VI named him count of the Empire, the Popes Celestine III and Pope Innocent III employed him also in several negotiations and Christians from Syria named him Patriarch of Jerusalem in 1204, having to reside in San Juan de Acre, where he/she was killed.
