Biography of Cardenal Obispo de Magdeburgo Alberto II (¿-1232)

Count of Hallermonde, Cardinal Bishop of Magdeburg, who died in 1232. In 1210, as a legacy of the Holy See, he/she gave the deposition of the Emperor Otón issued by the Pope. This resulted in a war with the Emperor, in which Alberto dropped twice prisoner, and he/she was always rescued by its troops. In 1229 it was another war with the margraves of Brandenburg, Otto and Juan, on the occasion of the castle of Waldeck, who finally became sweep to end the contest. He/She rebuilt the Cathedral of his city that fire had destroyed and that exists today, under the patronage of San Mauricio.
