Biography of Blas de Alburquerque (1500-1580)

Son of Antonio Coello of Alburquerque, who was born in 1500 and died in 1580. He/She served initially in the Navy, and then Juan III named him inspector of finance. He/She served great in 1569 when the plague Lisbo invaded and, according to biographers, in his capacity as Chairman of the municipal body, adopted measures that made cesar that cruel scourge. Published reports that his father had left written, and died surrounded by public consideration.
