Biography of Andrés F Alcántara (1960-VVVV)

Spanish sculptor, born in Torredelcampo (Jaén), in 1960. He started sculpture workshops of cabinetmaking and style of stone, then pass, as a free student to the school of fine arts of San Fernando in Madrid.

From expressionist beginnings it has evolved towards a primitivist sculpture with a more traditional treatment of sculpture and an increase of the iconographic repertoire, which means the work of art as an object of spirituality.

After participating in the 1980s in several biennials (1986 and 1987) in Madrid, he joined to make exhibitions in 1988 in the room Emilio Navarro of Madrid and the term Gallery; in 1990 she exhibited in the provincial halls of exhibition and Palacio Provincial de Jaén, and in 1994 in the House of the interview of Alcalá de Henares.
