Biography of Esteban Francisco Aligre (1726-1798)

French judge, born in 1726 and died in 1798. He/She was President of the Parliament of Paris, when he/she tried to convene the States-General, and read before the King and the Minister Necker, a memory that predicted the evils which had to bring that call; having failed to effect his memory, he/she made renunciation of his destiny in 1788. The day of the storming of the Bastille was arrested and driven to the home of City Council and would have died if not for the mediation of a former servant of yours. He/She was one of the first emigrants and died in exile.
