Biography of Luis Allier (1766-1827)

Historian and Numismatic French, named Hauteroche. He/She was born in Lyon in 1766 and died in 1827. In 1795 appointed director of the French press in Constantinople, took advantage of their leisure activities to visit the islands of the archipelago, the cut and the Asia minor. It was later Vice-Consul in Heraclea and the island of Cos. He/She formed a rich collection of Greek medals, and founded an annual prize of 400 francs for the best work of numismatics.
