Biography of Brites Almeida (s. XIV-XV)

Heroine of Portugal, surnamed the Portuguese Juana de Arco. He/She lived at the end of 14th century and early 15th. It was a simple villager who exercised the office of Baker and the be raided her village by troops of Castile in 1385, was launched at the enemy with a shovel he/she had in his hand and killed several soldiers. Camoens has held its value and other poets have imitated it.
