Biography of Gabriel Altilio (s. XV)

Italian poet, born in the first half of the 15th century and died at the end of this century or in the early years of the next. He/She was tutor of Fernando, King of Naples in 1495 by renouncement of his father Alfonso II, and Sixtus IV appointed him Bishop of Palicastro. He/She left a short number of verses, but enough to make his reputation. His most famous composition was an epithalamium for the marriage of Isabella of Aragon, daughter of King Alfonso II, with Juan Galeazo Esforzia, Duke of Milan.
