Biography of Luigi Alva (1927-VVVV)

Peruvian tenor; He/She was born in Lima on April 10, 1927. His full name is Luis Ernesto Alva Talledo, which shortened and italianizó after his first steps in the operatic world.

He began his studies in his hometown with Rosa Mercedes and debuted in 1949 in the same city, well that as a concert singer. It was not until some years after that it interpreted its first operatic role, again in Lima, as Alfredo in Verdi's La Traviata. Subsequently, moved to Italy, where he/she continues studies and debuts, at the Teatro Nuovo in Milan, in 1954. Two years later it will be in la Scala Theatre that will be regular interpreter. His European career is affirmed with successive interventions in the festivals of Salzburg (1957) and Aix-en-Provence (1960) and the opera of Vienna (1961). Since 1963, it is part of the cast of the Metropolitan Opera House in New York.
