Biography of Diego Álvarez de Paz (1560-1620)

Theologian and Spanish Jesuit, born in Toledo in 1560 and died in Potosí in 1620. He/She entered the society in 1578. After finishing his studies, he/she moved to the Peru in 1584 where he/she held successively the positions of director of schools in Quito, Cuzco and Lima and provincial of his order. He/She taught philosophy, theology, and Sacred Scripture. His main works are: De vita spirituali ejusque perfectione libri V; Daily exercise of virtues; De exterminatione mali et promotione boni libri V.
