Poet, journalist, and Ecuadorian Jurisconsult, born in Cuenca in 1904 and died on October 10, 1987. Independent groups or schools, happens to be one of the most illustrious poets of postmodernism in its country. He/She studied music in his house primary in the Christian Brothers school and high school in the colegio Benigno Malo in his hometown. In 1927 he/she started the career of jurisprudence, where he/she graduated in 1933, and his profession served for some time in Guayaquil. After returning to his homeland, practically during all his life has been dedicated to teaching: Professor of Musical Culture and history of culture in the Benigno Malo (1929-1945), and philosophy of law at the Catholic University of Cuenca (1945-1959 and again in 1966).
He is the author of numerous musical compositions, some of which have been interpreted by Carlota Jaramillo; yours are, for example, the "Traveler" and "Taste of tears" halls. In his activity as a journalist, he/she collaborated with El Mercurio (Chief Editor, 1924), El Telégrafo and El Universo. In 1930 he/she founded, along with Humberto Espinosa, the "Cultural Radio". He/She is the author of several books of poems, short stories and essays, among which are the following: mud-centuries (1932), two poems by April (1939), Windows to the horizon, perhaps the most successful work of all its production (1942), the liberators of the Azuay (intended as radio script, 1943), Ecuadorian contemporary poetry (1951) route, line of dance (1951)Duration of a corregidor (1952, about life and its ancestor the Sergeant Mayor José de Andrade and Benavides ancestry), male target and landscape (1954), figures on the panel (1957, collection of newspaper articles), the genetic and environmental in azuayo writer (1958) and the country of the Seagull (1959, stories). In 1977 the House of the culture of the Azuay issued him an anthology of his poetry with the title poetry.
