Biography of Yaroslawitch Andreiev (¿-1264)

Prince of Wladimir. He was born at the beginning of the 13th century and died in 1264. He was son of Yaroslaf II and younger brother of the famous Alejandro Newski. In 1249 it came to be vassal of Batu-Khan, head of the Mongolian Tatars, and though the following year he tried to shake the yoke, he had to flee to Russia, and he could not return to their country until after Batu dead, to live since then submissive as Prince of Suzdal.
