Biography of Luis Andreoni (1853-1936)

Italian engineer born in Vercelli (Italy) October 7, 1853 and died in Montevideo on May 20, 1936. He/She graduated in his native country, where his father worked as a railway engineer in the layout of the laying of lines in the South of the country. In 1876 he/she moved to Montevideo where was responsible for the construction of many public buildings such as the Italian Hospital, the Central station or Club Uruguay. Archaeology, one of his passions, occupied much of their leisure time and died in 1936, bequeathed a large collection which is located in the Uruguayan Palacio Taranco.
