Biography of King of Cilicia Antíoco I (¿-227 a.C.)

King of Cilicia, named Hierax or Vulture; He/She was the son of Antiochus II, King of Syria, and was placed on the throne of Cilicia by Tolomeo Evergetes, in opposition to his brother Seleucus Callinicus. He/She tried to take possession of his brother States, and won some victories against it; But having finally defeated him, he/she had to take refuge in the Court of Artamenes, his father-in-law, King of Cappadocia, and died on a road at the hands of thieves in the year 227 before J. C.
