Biography of Ion Antonescu (1882-1946)

Romanian military and politician. He/She participated in the first world war. He/She was arrested for opposing the policy of King Carol II, but shortly after it was released, assuming the Presidency of the Government with dictatorial character. During the second world war it was next to the Germans and the Soviets conquered regions. In 1944, he/she signed an armistice with Russia against Hungary; at the end of the war the Russians made him prisoner, and he/she was sentenced by the Romanian Popular Court; He/She was condemned to death and it was shot.
