Biography of King of Urartu Aramu (ca. 860-844 a.C.)

(A-ra-mu or A-ra-me) First King of Urartu, known by the Assyrian sources from the time of Shalmaneser III, King who led several military campaigns against Aramu as indicated on the black Obelisk (now in the British Museum). The long reign of Aramu is virtually unknown, although his country was consolidated as an independent Kingdom.
