Sculptor of Flemish origin, whose date of birth is not known; It is located in Spain since the mid century. He received his training in Italy, in Rome, exporting to Spain the movement and flutter of Italian baroque sculpture. His work is one of the first who leaves the moderation that characterized the baroque of century on the Peninsula, exert a fundamental influence on the change which occurs in mid century towards the Baroque. One of his main works is the conclusion of the altarpiece of San Miguel Jerez, started by Martínez Montañés, which presents an entirely new style.
