Biography of Benedicto Aretio (1505-1547)

Hellenistic, theologian and distinguished botanist who was born in Berne in 1505 and died in 1547. He/She was Professor of logic at the University of Marburg, and later in his hometown of languages and theology Professor, according to the doctrines of Calvin. He/She maintained correspondence with the leading scholars of his time, and entertained their leisure time in plants by the mountains of Switzerland, whose work is published in a work of Botany. In addition to this work, he/she wrote many others on several points of theology.
