Biography of King of Persia Ariarmnes (ca. 670 a.C.)

(Ariyamna or Ariaramnes) Persian King of the lineage of Achaemenid, son of Teispes, King of Anshan (broad region of the Iran). At the death of his father, he/she received the eastern part of their lands (Fars), while the western part was given to Ciro I. Ariarmnes, who have survived two inscriptions on them which is entitled "King of Kings" and "King of Persia", is collected in the genealogy given by Darius I in the famous trilingual inscription of the Behistun rock to argue their rights to the Persian throne.
