Biography of Queen of Egipto Arsinoe III (235-204 a.C.)

Queen of Egypt, daughter of Ptolemy III and Berenice II. Arsinoe III was a cultivated woman, great charm, who was married to her brother Ptolemy IV in 217 BC, apparently more for political reasons that human. First was banished from the Court at an uncertain date by Sosibius and Agathocles, Ministers from her husband, who, on his return, would try to eliminate it. Finally it would be poisoned, fact, coincident with the death of her husband, to prevent that act as regent for his young son Ptolemy V.
