Biography of King of Asiria Assur-nirari (1548-1522 a.C.)

(ASH-shur-na-ra-ri or Ashir-neither-ra-ri) Assyrian king, son of Ishme-Dagan II and successor of his cousin Shamshi-Adad III, who was descended from a collateral branch of the Royal family. Most likely accessed the throne after overthrowing his cousin. Although the facts are not known most significant, of such a King have reached four short inscriptions in other so many bricks, which chronicles the restoration of various temples in the imperial capital, Assur. He/She was succeeded on the throne, according to the Assyrian Royal Chronicle, Puzur-AssurIII.
