Biography of Benoit III Audran (1698-1772)

Painter and printmaker born in Paris, in 1698 and died in the same city in 1772; son of Juan, engraver, and his disciple, although of lesser quality. It is distinguished as an interpreter of the works of Wateau and focused its work on the preparation of illustrations for books based on the works of this and other painters of the time. Stand out among other works his L'Amour disarmament, Concert champĂȘtre, Passe temps and many landscapes.
