Mexican businessman, born on September 6, 1930 and died on April 16, 1997. Son of Emilio Azcárate Vidaurreta, was dedicated in his youth to the sale of books at home, in particular to the sale of the Encyclopedia Britannica. He subsequently went on to work at the radio station created by his father, in the sales department. In 1995, instituted Mexican Telesistema, worked with enthusiasm that the company expanded its radius of action to other fields of communication. In 1961 it purchased the Soccer America team and built, years later, the Aztec Stadium. He was head of Televisa from 1972 until just months before his death, time in which the direction and the Presidency were in the hands of his son.
