Biography of Balaam (s. XIV a. C.)

Famous soothsayer. It was commissioned by the King of Moab to pronounce against the Israelites the curses of habit before fighting them. He/She understood the victories expected by the people of Israel, and not wanting to expose themselves to the wrath of the victors, told the King that would fulfill your order if the Lord not manifested his will against. But instead of cursing, he/she only gave blessings to the Israelites and to excuse his conduct, said that he/she had had a divine appearance on the way and that his donkey had spoken unto him, declaring that Dios was opposed to your project.
