Biography of Francisco Bascuñán Guerrero (1825-1873)

Chilean politician born in La Serena in 1825 and died in Santiago in 1873. In 1852, the Government of Manuel Montt, you entrusted the administration of the province of Arauco. As the first Governor of this region had to organize it, create public services and, most importantly, colonization and do live peacefully together those settlers with hostile aborigines.
