Biography of Lyman Frank Baum (1856-1919)

American novelist, born in Chittenango, New York. His greatest achievement is to have created the country of happiness and mystery called Oz and fourteen books best sellers about it, from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1900) - known in Spain for his film version, the wizard of Oz until Glinda of Oz (1920). Targeting a childish in appearance, this impressive series constitutes a serious and delicious fairy tale of North America, whose characters and adventures in Utopia give life to an ideal agricultural America where it satirizes chauvinism in this "melting pot" of races. Also wrote other books for children under various pseudonyms.
