Biography of William Bernbach (1911-1982)

American publicist. He/She was responsible for the transformation of advertising, which went from being vulgar, loud and difficult to sell to become ironic, subtle and attractive. The campaign made for the Volkswagen company still remains one of the best. He/She created the concept of team director artistic-editor and introduced the photograph as an essential ingredient. He/She refused to make advertising of tobacco, convinced of the responsibility of advertising.
