Biography of Alberto Blancafort (1928-2004)

Composer and conductor Spanish, La Bañeza (León)-born on April 28, 1928 and died in Madrid, Spain on February 11, 2004. Precocious composer, won the prize of Jeunesses Musicales of Spain with only ten years. Capabilities in this field opened the doors of the Paris Conservatory, where he/she studied composition with Darus Milhaud and Nadia Boulanger , and orchestral conducting with Igor Markevitch and Sergiu Celebidache . He/She was director of the choir of Radiotelevisión Española, which founded and headed to the main Spanish orchestras. His work highlights songs from Leon.
