Biography of Sebastián Bourdon (1616-1671)

French engraver and painter. He studied at Rome, was one of the founders of the Academy of painting and sculpture in Paris and spent some years in Sweden, as first painter of the reina Cristina. His most famous paintings are: martyrdom of San Pedro; Two Holy families; Sacrifice of Noah; Jesus Christ and the children; Descent; Julio César to the grave of Alejandro; Gypsies; San Protasio decapitation.
