It is currently considered to be one of the most prestigious Spanish architects, comparable times July Cano Lasso or Javier Sáez de Oiza.Su architecture is, above all, rational characterized by the accuracy and the use of elements that determine it, and classified (although the author denies it) sometimes minimalist.
The origin of the architecture for Campo Baeza is located in the very "idea", which he/she herself is who gives us the first material, light. Then the idea and light are the main bases of this author and the cause of the space as a result of the Arquitectura.La composition of his works is always so clear and is usually customized by its white color that thanks to its attraction and reflex resolves by itself the lighting problems.
Despite their independence, are notable within his works the influences of great architects such as Mies Van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and Lubetkin. It is the latter who influences with more notoriety in the treatment of the exterior of your projects that you think are nothing more than formal manipulations of white boxes.
His work is recognized throughout Europe due to their multiple interventions at conferences throughout Italy, France and Germany, among other Nations, similar to the great reception that have their books and magazines outside Spain.
In addition to a number of first prizes obtained by their appearance in competition have been granted others such as the City Hall of Madrid Award (1986), C.O.A.N. Architecture Prize (school official of architects of Madrid), the gold medal by the International Critics Association of art (1987), architecture city of Madrid Award (1993) and the prize PAD stone 93 (1994) among others. It was the own Rafael Moneo who award you in 1977 for his speech at the square of the Cathedral of Almería.
Despite not possessing a vast number of works, have been recognized him some of them multiple times as they tend to be their school buildings in Madrid: San Sebastián de los Reyes (1983) public school, public school San Fermin (1985).
Also prominent among his works House Gaspar (1990) where you can see the symmetry of the composition enhanced by the placement of the few elements of vegetation, the offices of the C.D.E.R. in Mallorca (1966), the General box of Granada (1996), the Turégano House (1989, Madrid) where leaves shows its control of the light to the Casa García Marcos (1990) or the House Richi.
