Biography of León Degrelle (1906-1994)

Belgian politician. He/She founded the party called "rexista", which started the movement of Christus Rex, unparliamentary and authoritarian trend.

During the Spanish Civil War was expressed sympathetic to the national cause. He/She praised the collective letter of the Spanish episcopate in the article published in the press under the title "With the Bishops of Spain and Franco" and visited the national area.During the second world war and, after the Belgian defeat of 1940, he/she was supporter of collaboration with the nazis. He/She organized the Walloon Legion, which fought in the Soviet Union by the Germans. At the end of the war was exiled to Spain. In Belgium, a military court sentenced him to the death penalty, in absentia, for having collaborated with the Germans.
