Biography of Judi Dench (1934-VVVV)

British actress of film and television born in Yorkshire in 1934. His real name is Judith Olivia Dench. It is linked to the Royal Shakespeare Company since its first season there in 1961, in which he role of Anya in the Cherry Orchard, Chekhov's garden. However, he has performed an extraordinary variety of classical, modern, music papers, films and TV, especially sitcoms.

He made his professional debut as Ophelia in Hamlet at the Old Vic in 1957. In the film it has excelled in many fuilmes, which include a room with views, tea with Mussolini or the Hamlet by Kenneth Branagh, in addition to being the famous Chief spy M in the saga of James Bond movies. His superb interpretation of Queen Victoria at her Majesty, Mrs. Brown (1997) earned his first nomination to the Oscar for best actress, but its first statuette came the following year, as supporting actress in Shakespeare in love. It was also nominated for the best supporting actress for her role in Chocolat (2000); and as best actress for his prodigious recreation of Iris Murdoch in Iris (2001) film. Four years later, in 2005, returned to be nominated for best actress principal in Mrs. Henderson presents.

In 1988 was ordered Lady of the British Empire.
