Palencia Jesuit dedicated a paleographical, historical and bibliographical studies. He/She joined the company in 1894 and was ordered priest in 1909. It was a degree in philosophy and letters and theology. Between 1911 and 1912, he/she worked in numerous archives of the Crown of Aragon. He/She was a member of the Royal Academy of history.
His works are the catalogue of the codices of the Cathedral of León (1919), as well as the edition of the Chronicle of Alfonso III (1918). We also owe to his pen manual Spanish Paleography (1923), reference year work as well as the unfinished ecclesiastical history of Spain (1929-1936).
