Biography of Umberto Giordano (1867-1948)

Italian composer, born in Foggia in 1867, and died in Milan in 1948. He was a pupil of the Conservatory of Naples, was devoted to opera and premiered with success, Andrea Chénier (1986), Fedora (1898) and Siberia (1903). Subsequently composed Marcella (1907), Mese Mariano (1910), Madame Sans-Gene (1915), La Cena delle Beffe (1924) and the King (1929).
